“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” – Nikola Tesla
We all know this famous quote from Tesla - it's quoted seemingly everywhere. I even put it in my second book "The Sound Inside The Sound". Or I should say, I carelessly put it in my second book without properly researching the validity of it first.
As it happens, there is no verifiable evidence that Tesla ever said that. The lone source is Ralph Bergstresser, a man who claims to have been friends with Tesla and who says Tesla said that to him in 1942. At the time, 50+ years later, and in the context that Bergstresser said this, he was promoting an invention called "The Tesla Purple Plate". Actually, it appears the company that makes the Purple Plate "revealed" this information after Berstresser's death at age 86 in 1998.
"Linda Goodman mentions in her book "Star Signs" that the person who created the plates with Nikola Tesla preferred to remain anonymous. However, after the inventor's death the company which produced the plates decided to give him due credit."
So, even though Bergstresser is the lone source of this quote, apparently even he didn't claim it publicly. Unfortunately (conveniently?), Mr. Bergstresser can not be questioned about this.
Hey, you can buy a Purple Plate for $99.95!!
By the way, please note that the "scientific" information mentioned on that page about the Schumann Resonance(s) is highly flawed and misinformed. Also, they claim Bergstresser "Over the course of the next 20 years until Tesla's death they had numerous conversations on the process of tapping free energy." Well, Tesla died on January 7, 1943. Bergstresser was born in 1912. This would imply their conversations began when Bergstresser was approximately only 10 years old, and Tesla was 66. Hmmm.... maybe.
Btw, here's another slightly less famous Tesla quote:
"Don't believe everything you read about me on the internet, particularly unverifiable quotations!"
~ Nikola Tesla, February 30, 1944
